Emails from DearestEllie aren't arriving
Reset links and notifications that never show up are almost always hiding in a folder you're not looking at. The checklist, in order.
Try this first
- Check spam and junk. Then check the "Promotions" or "Updates" tabs if you use Gmail — automated mail loves to hide there.
- Search your mailbox for "dearestellie" — sometimes the mail arrived days ago and sank.
- Add [email protected] to your contacts or safe-senders list, so future mail lands where you'll see it.
- Wait a few minutes, then request the email once more. Requesting it five times in a row just makes five copies race each other.
What's going on
Email between any service and any inbox passes through spam filters nobody fully controls, and those filters are moody. The mail almost always arrives; the question is which folder it's sulking in. Adding us to your contacts fixes it permanently for most people.
If that didn't work
If nothing arrives after checking every folder and waiting a while, write to [email protected] from the affected address itself. That lets us check what happened to mail sent to that exact address, which is usually all we need to fix it.
Still stuck? [email protected] — a person reads every message.
